Full-time Master in Innovation & Entrepreneurship (MIE)

The Master programme in Innovation & Entrepreneurship has a double objective:

• to supply you with state-of-the-art methodology to generate breakthrough ideas and learn how to manage them into the start-up of an own business;
• to familiarize you with best practices to successfully manage innovation efforts within larger companies.

As a masterproof, you can choose whether to take an in-company assignment -for companies like Telenet, Swift and Henkel- or continue with your own business idea.

This program is unique in bringing together a theoretical background -brought by international academics- with real-life application -brought by successfull entrepreneurs-.

Target group

These classes are intended for all students with a Master's degree in Engineering, Product Development, IT or Applied Economics/ Business, with a special interest in the power of innovation and entrepreneurship.Surplus valueGraduates from this program will have a sound basis in the theory and concepts of all major functional areas in management and its strategic implementation. More specifically they will also acquire thorough knowledge of the whole management of innovative teams, the creation of new ideas and the go-to-market of them. Additionally they will have been trained in a variety of communication skills and business attitudes, e.g. multicultural communication, entrepreneurship, negotiations, self and group assessments, creativity, perseverance, teamwork and leadership. 

Learning outcomes

The Master of Management - Innovation & Entrepreneurship program is designed for students who wish to enhance their hands-on management skills and competencies in an open and international environment.

The programme focuses on:

• the deepening of the participants’ knowledge of management functions;
• the integration of the knowledge and skills required to perform in key managerial responsibilities: leadership, people management and long-term planning;
• the strengthening of business skills, e.g. entrepreneurship, perseverance, motivation, emotional intelligence and initiative;
• the development of social skills, problem solving skills, communication skills and the capacity for teamwork and leadership;
• the examination of global issues from a European perspective, highlighting technological opportunities for innovation, change and progress.

Graduates from the programme Innovation & Entrepreneurship are recruited by a great variety of international companies. They broaden their scope of employment opportunities both in terms of functionality and of sector, and increase their chances of worldwide career progress and employability.

Many companies are actively looking for managers who are able to monitor, evaluate and manage their processes of innovation and development, ranging from the creation of new ideas to the successful commercial launch of new products.
