Course Outline

What topics will be covered during this workshop?

• In-depth review of AgilePM principles and philosophy
• Stakeholder management in an Agile environment
• Alignment within the project "management triangle": how the project manager, product owner and agile coach share responsibilities within the project
• Advanced strategies for prioritising requirements and managing backlogs, for example via user story mapping, the Kano model, cost/value, etc.
• Agile planning techniques, including release management
• Measurements and metrics to assess project performance
• Quality management and quality assurance in an agile environment
• Mitigation and risk management strategies
• In-depth case studies: practical exercises and project simulations

Exercises and exam preparation:

Throughout the course, case studies and project simulations will be used to put the skills acquired into practice. Here are a few examples:

• Improving User Stories using the INVEST principle
• What are the roles and actions of the project manager, the business ambassador or the agile coach?
• Learn how to create your own Kanban
• Classify the functionalities of your product according to MoSCow

In addition, mock exams and a Teams revision session are planned to prepare participants for the AgilePM Practitioner exam (optional). Please note that the mock exams will be prepared individually between the end of the course and the accompanied revision session.

Who should attend?

The AgilePM® Practitioner course is aimed at professionals who want to deepen their practical knowledge of agile project management and who have already taken the AgilePM Foundation or PRINCE2 Agile Foundation training, or who are part of an agile team.

Prerequisites

To be able to sit the AgilePM Practitioner exam, candidates must have obtained the AgilePM Foundation certificate. Other people may attend the workshop but will not be able to sit the exam.

About the AgilePM Practitioner Exam

• Objective testing
• 4 questions per paper, 20 marks available per question
• 40 marks required to pass (out of 80 available) - 50%
• 2.5 hours duration
• Open book exam (restricted to the official manual only) 

The exam is optional. Those who opt for the exam will have to prepare the mock exams independently and can take part in a revision/correction session in Teams with the trainer.
