"It is rare to find a trainer that is as passionate about his mission as Matthijs and as gifted for being able to teach people.

He cleverly embeds the Agile framework within his training, making the chapters = product roadmap, the topics = backlog and constantly going through a learning loop and revising it throughout the delivery. You don't only learn Scrum, you actually see it happening in front of you.

And get this - almost 0 slides. He instead draws all the artefacts he uses to teach on flipchart paper. It's amazing how much easier to focus everything becomes when it's a drawing exercise, rather than a boring slide.

Whenever you're not going to be analysing things through his drawings or learning from his real-life examples, you are actually going to spend a lot of time in DYI exercises like: Lean Canvas & Story Mapping.

At the end of the training, you feel like the past 2 days perfectly balanced the SCRUM PSPO content with the real-life situations that you might encounter. Brilliantly designed and delivered. "I needed to learn more about the role of the Scrum Product Owner and prepare myself for the official Scrum.org certification.

The learning experience with Matthijs was really engaging, something fundamental when you are learning new things. He barely used a couple of slides to emphasize on a topic, but he mostly engaged with us (students) through flip charts he creates along the course but he has each of them baselined to not waste any time. He makes each chart visible to all of us at all times so at different stages of the training we can all refer to them. This visual engagement experience made it great and not boring at all. We also did a lot of practical activities together with the other students and this was fun to do, which is fantastic when you are taking such a condensed training with so much information.
I would definitely recommend Matthijs training's to anyone who wants to learn in a pragmatic, good mood and engaging way.

Matthijs managed to integrate Agile completely into his training course.

The content was very well crafted and seamlessly prepared all students for the certification. We learned a lot by doing in the form of small workshops, while also having plenty of opportunities to discuss how to apply new learnings to situations we were facing in the real world.

"Matthijs weet een groep op een enthousiaste manier mee te nemen in het Agile gedachtengoed en specifiek de rol van Product Owner. Het ervaringsniveau van de deelnemers in de groep liep uiteen maar Matthijs heeft ervoor gezorgd dat de deelname voor iedereen nuttig was.
