The Prince2 methodology is one of the most common project management methodologies. It follows a linear process in which the management process is clearly defined beforehand, one step after the other. The project and the roles and responsibilities of everyone are clearly defined and the greater goal of the project always stays in sight. The clarity and structure of the processes allow the team to focus on the quality of the project while limiting financial and time costs.
The Agile methodology is a more recent methodology that has been increasing in popularity because of its flexibility. It is highly adaptive in the sense that it requires project members to constantly be up-to-date with the needs of their customers or partners in order to obtain the best results in a specific situation. Agile focuses on implementing smaller, short-term objectives that will eventually guide it towards the main business goal.
