"De begeleiding vanuit Gladwell trainster was goed, heldere uitleg, genoeg ruimte voor vragen. Voorbereiding aan Essent zijde was minder, de ruimte op de 2e dag was niet ideaal. "Ik vond het een erg nuttige cursus. Handvaten gekregen die wij in de praktijk toe kunnen passen. Ook geleerd dat wij er binnen onze divisie nog lang niet zijn met scrum werken. Wij noemen het wel scrum werken maar we voldoen niet aan de gehele handleiding. Kortom veel geleerd. Het enige wat ik jammer vind is dat het examen in het Engels is en daardoor bijvoorbeeld de filmpjes en de sheets ook in het Engels zijn. "The content could be focused a bit more in detail on the SAFe method. During day 1 there was pretty some time spent on explaining Scrum and Kanban. For a lot of people (in particular software engineers) this is known information. On day 2 the team breakouts was very chaotic, which I think is very good because the PI-planning events will become chaotic (as warned by the instructors). The trainers (Niels and Kelly) were very energetic and told their story with a lot of enthusiasm. "For me, the content was fine, right balance between theory and examples/assignments. Around me I noticed some people struggling how this would fit in ASML. "Everything was really good, except I have one big issue:

In our group there was some uncertainty/disagreement about the actual benefits of this SAFe training.

Sometimes a difficult to understrand principle of the course, is demonstrated/proven by a short example/ group activity. This is a good thing. But one group activity (Activity: Experience a small batch size, with the coin flipping) is in my opninion NOT proving/related to the slide "Reduce batch size for higher predictability". I even talked to Andres after the training about this issue, (He was willing to stay 80 minutes after class to answer all questions) but i could not come to an agreement wether or not this assigment adds any value to the course.

For me: If you put in an exercise to Prove someting in the course, but the exercise itself does not prove it. (even though it might seem so) i have a issue with this because:
This leads me to doubt the other examples/stories as well.
(Which is not good when you are already sceptical of the SAFe concepts).

"We have many nice discussions that I like. As several colleagues already dipped in this SCRUM team and some dont. We do have some nice feeling of been toxxx in the past Program Increment.
Indeed that it is the prime time of me.
I would like to see some genius questions and answers being documented by teachers rational or some of our classmate and shared with us all. A internet of thing like SAFe in ASML Yammer and topic, interesting problems be discussed in our team,FC57 team-wise and FC-XX-wise would be great, too. Especially the dilemma 1.top down or bottom up, culture changing needed that system/frame is designed for in this way but we could not help as the bottom ASML employee could not help on this. 2. the way that SCRUM could facility the growth of people horizontally and vertically in our current role/competency. 3. clarify the role and responsibility of each members in the configuration. 4. The gray area we been discussed thru.
I also like to have a "what do we believe in this SCRUM way" be specified as the common wealth of all the SAFers from this class and put it next to me as motto.

"Eerste dag prima balans tussen theorie en praktijk/activiteit. De tweede dag leek daar minder tijd voor. Teveel ontvangen. Dat i.c.m. temperatuur, slechte stoelen, onhandige indeling en verlichting die steeds aan en uit ging, maakte deze dag te zwaar. Trainer Ali bleef energiek en maakte tijd voor vragen en discussie.
