"It was a really good training with the right balance between theory presentations (slide decks) and discussions amongst Scrum Masters about the issues we face and (possible) solutions and how SAFe will change the way of working. The only thing that could be improved in my opinion is to know a bit longer beforehand when the training will be. "Renata is a very experienced trainer. I liked hear "real-life" examples, which put the theory into perspective.
Improved could be the exam questions, we played some scenarios through and there is lots of room for interpretation. Also when running a dummy-test, it isnt highlighted which of the answers are wrong.

"I liked the presentation and the dynamic changing of emphasis during the two days dependent on what we as audience expected to get form the course. Also the speakers knowledege of the topic was good.

I found that I could follow the course not having had any previous training in the AGILE framework nor in scrums. There was perhaps slightly too much reliance on the acronyms of scrum and SAFe rather than explaining the terms, but I think perhaps its difficult to give such a course without using those acronyms.

I notice as a native english speaker its hard to reprogram myself to accept the new meaning of words in the specific context of scrum, AGILE and SAFe. e.g. The word feature and the word story are very long established words in english and the meaning, especially the relative meaning, assigned to the words in SAFe is confusing. In english a story can have many features (e.g. its a childrens story, its a short story, its a story with a message, etc.) whereas in the SAFe language apparently a single feature has multiple stories. In the end I could manage and I dont think theres another way to do it." - 17-12-2018 00:00
